Library Rules & Regulations
The entry will be allow to Identity card holders only.
Users should maintain peace in the Library & should not disturb other readers in the library.
Smoking/Eating/Drinking are strictly prohibited in the Library premises.
Reference books, Newspaper, Magazines/Journals should not be taken out of the library.
Borrowing facilities are given only to members. Library books are issued on the counters on presenting the ID card.
The members should verify the issued book’s before leaving the circulation counter. Thereafter, the members will be responsible for any damage the book issued to them.
In
spite of repeated reminders, if the book is not returned, the borrowing
facility may be withdrawn for a period decided by the Librarian.
Reservation of Books
Library members can reserve book themselves through OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) terminals in the library or any terminal located in the campus through web access.
Circulation Policies
All students must present their college ID before borrowing any library materials.
Borrowing facilities are available to the students, faculty & staff against Bar-coded membership cum Identity card issued to them. Books are issued from the counter on presenting the Bar-coded card.
Books borrowed may be kept for the period of 10 days at a time.
Books must be returned on or before the due date stamp mentioned on due date slip pasted in the last page of the book by circulation desk.
Overdue Charges
If a book is not returned within the stipulated time, the student will be charged a fine of Rs. 5/- per book per day after the due date is over.
A fine of Rs. 20/- per day will be charged if reference book issued for overnight is not returned within stipulated time.
Loss and Damage
If an issued book has been misplaced, damaged or lost by the student, and then the same must be replaced with the latest edition by the students. If this replacement is not done, then the student will be charged original procurement cost plus 30% of the original cost, whichever is higher. In addition to the above, student also must pay the late fine as admissible.
Members of the Book-Bank will be issued a set of textbooks comprising of one text book per subject will be issued in the beginning of each semester.
